Dissection employ a mix emphasizing reverb and slightly muddy guitars, although by all standards the production is loud and clear. When I first heard this album, I had no clue what black metal was.... I was still listening to Guns 'n Roses, Metallica, Megadeth, etc. A friend introduced me to it and I was completely blown away! Wow....this album is phenomal. I get chills just listening to it...they are so good at creating an icy atmosphere it makes you believe you're transported to the snow covered mountain tops of Norway. Only way i'd categorize ...

Of course, i know Emperor is legendary and way more darker, and nobody else ( in metal anyway) has ihsaan's voice, Pleez don't burn my house. and the vocals of dissection are more raspy like someone said, rather than screamed. but still theyr intensely good. What the f..?! there's some European kids with long a^^ hair throwing gasoline on my door!
