Editorial Review:
Album Description: Dark Fortress create their own style of Black/Death Metal that perhaps can be described as a mixture linking bands like Dissection,Unanimated, Dark Funeral, and Satyricon. Lyrically it is imperative for the band to articulate the same emotions as they do in their music.
Tales From Eternal Dusk is a startling and commanding debut album.
Album Description: Dark Fortress creates their own style of Black/Death metal that perhaps can be described as a mixture linking bands like Dissection Unanimated Dark Funeral and Satyricon. Lyrically it is imperative for the band to articulate the same emotions as in the music. Dark Fortress requests: "Join us and worship our beloved tales of death throughout the eternal dusk!"

I love black metal, and this band is one of the truest Black Metal acts to come along in a long time. The vocals are awesomely inhuman, the riffs are awesome, the drums are great and the band is tight. Every song on this album is great, you can listen to it all the way through over and over. Great band, awesome album.

It sounds a lot like Dissection to be perfectly honest, but from where I sit that's not a bad thing. The music is well composed, well played, and quite atmospheric. Dark Fortress take the Dissection black metal formula, put their own touches on it, and the result is a very enjoyable black metal ablum.
