Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
Since their debut, Winds of Creation, Decapitated have divided their time between relentless touring and a more academic musical education back home in Poland. As a result, Nihility displays a consistency of power rare in the world of death metal. The fastest developing member of this youthful bunch (when this recording was made, Decapitated's average age was under 20) is guitarist Vogg. As on the debut, he indulges in bursts of Eddie Van Halen-style pyrotechnics, but his sound has matured to a point that his work sometimes recalls Ritchie Blackmore in the early days of Rainbow. He creates a torrent of noise driven to ever-greater speed and violence by Vitek's savage percussion. On the downside, tracks sometimes wander, and the uniform pace strips the group of the power of surprise. Vocalist Sauron could certainly vary his infernal grunting; during "Mother War," he sounds like a buffalo attempting to recite nursery rhymes. Taken as a whole though, Nihility is a step forward that won't disappoint Decapitated's growing legion of fans. --Dominic Wills

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Spheres of Madness!!!
Dusted this one off again after not being able to listen for a while due to tragedies befalling Decapitated and its members. Made me sad I guess. I recently heard that the remaining members are going to carry on once again which is totally awesome. RIP Vitek you are missed, please recover Covan. Anyway, this is no BS death metal at its finest. Technical, brutal, great song writing, raw, Nihility is top notch on every level from top to bottom. Any time one of your goober modern rock radio listening ...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nothing is Salvation
brutal, technical death metal. the guitars alternate between catchy riffs & technical shred, vocals are some of the best i've ever heard & the drums are amazing. production is clear without being too polished. the stand-out tracks are "Nihility" & "Babylon's Pride", but just listen to "Spheres of Madness" & i know you will love this album right away, i know i did. if you like Origin or Decrepit Birth, check this out.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I can't believe i'm the first to review this!!!!
Its hard to believe no one has reviewed this fine peice of death metal yet. Decapitated are one of the best metal bands to come out of Poland(I like them more than Vader or Behemoth) and one of the better bands in the entire scene. They came on to the scene very young and "Nihility" is their second release. In my opinion it is there best. The production is not as strong as some of their other works, but the songs are a lot tighter. "Spheres of Madness" is my favorite Decapitated song. The double ...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sick, Fast, and Super Tight
Decapitated are truly one of the best modern death metal bands out there today. These guys are just super talented musicians, and the way that these four guys so young can pull off such incredible talent and musicianship is to me just amazing beyond words. I just got into their second album "Nihility" over the weekend, and I just cannot stop listening to this album, I love it alot. This album is also a fantastic follow up to the band's debut album "Winds of Creation" which I enjoy alot too, but this album ...
