Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - One of the better second-tier thrash records.
Remember Silverchair? They were that band of teenagers who cashed in on the whole grunge thing in the mid 90s. Meet Death Angel, Silverchair's speed metal big brother of the late 80s. Rumor has it the drummer for this band had to hurry up and complete his homework assignments before gigs for school the next day. "Mom, can I play extreme rock music at a dank club tonight?" "Not until you finish your homework, Andy"

I don't think Frolic Through The Park is quite the album the debut, The ...

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Death Angel - 'Frolic Through The Park' (Restless)
Originally released in 1988, this was the San Francisco's thrash metal band's second album. I got to catch them on this very tour. Sure wish vocalist Mark Osegueda had stayed with them longer than he did. Nonetheless, Death Angel was a great metal five piece I always thought. Tunes here I remember looking forward to the most were "3rd Floor", "Bored" (still like catching this video on Headbangers Ball every now and then), the head-riveting "Confused", "Open Up", their Kiss cover of "Cold Gin" and "Mind ...

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Okay
This is Death Angel's second album. This album is not even close to being better than The Ultra-Violence but it is still alright. There is song's I don't like on this album like the cover of Cold Gin,that's by crapy Kiss, the song sucks.Bored is another song that sucks, but I'm not going to say what other song's suck, you decide.3rd Floor rules,Road Mutants is a good song and
Why You Do This.Shores Of Sin is the best song on the album, that song is awesome. This album has a punk style to it but it's still ...

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good, Experimental without going overboard
Being one of the youngest bands in Thrash Metal history, D.A. hit the studio to record their second album after the well recieved "Ultra Violence". At this time they barely old enough to vote but certainly could compose a more complex song than some of their peers (i.e. Forbidden, Heathen, Vio-lence).

The production is slightly better on this release than on the previous effort. The songs have more change-ups, bridges, and interludes than "Ultra Violence". The guitars aren't as harsh as in the ...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Probably my most favorite album ever ...
Death Angel is a band I got into not too recently (maybe about two months or so ago). And while I had maintained that my favorite band was Circle of Dust ever since I was a wee chap, in the short span of these two months, the more I listened to Death Angel, be it Act III and its diversity, the Ultra Violence and its brutality, or this one, Frolic Through the Park and its rather even mix of both, the more and more I grew to love them. Now, all I can say is that this amazing band has worked their way to the top ...
