in all honesty this release from Arch Enemy for me turned out to be a disapointment, but i do say that this album is good lyricaly, but vocaly and musically it was a let down, on it's own it is an ok album, but hails in comparison to "Wages Of Sin". in all "Anthems Of Rebellion" is still a good listen.

With the influx of mediocre bands, Arch Enemy manages to push through the barrier and make an impression. I am definitely a fan.

Anthems Of Rebellion is indeed a great album with crushing guitars, excellent rhythms, a great yet unique vocalist, and astounding solos and riffs off of some of the songs off the album. The solo off of the song Silent Wars is so amazing, it's the sole solo that launchs you into the album and helps make the album sound so good. We Will Rise also does the same job beautifully and brutally, exactly how melodic death metal should be. Even more there's a lot of unique moments off the album like the technoish ...

when you listen to an arch enemy record, you exspect melody and complexity. this lacks both. it has a few good moments but it could have been way better. i did really like the clean vox. its some of their best, thrown in with some of their worst. i think they corrected this problem with doomsday machine, which was really good. if you are just starting to listen to arch enemy, buy wages of sin or stigmata. this one is for diehards only.

I love Arch Enemy so much. Melodic Death Metal is so much better than the "normal" death metal! CRUSH 'EM!!!
