Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Probably their best
For my money, the low-fi quality of "Daredevil" - displayed as well on "No One Rides For Free" and "In Search Of," their first and third albums, respectively - is what makes this album shine. There's something about the impossibly super-fuzzed, warm, heavy, gritty sound on this album that separates it from the heavier, ham-handed approach displayed on their later albums. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fu Manchu at their best
I haven't been into Fu Manchu all that long, but this is the best stuff I've heard. Not to say that their other albums lack at all, but Daredevil is really solid from start to finish.

Im sure the band wasn't rolling in money at the time, but you would never guess because of the high quality sound. Daredevil is heavy enough for Electric Wizard fans, and has enough hooks for Kyuss and QOTSA fans. The guitar and bass are heavily distorted, drums are pounding, and vocals are sweet.
