Amazon.com:
When an indie-rock band as intimately and fiercely loved as Death Cab for Cutie makes the inevitable major-label jump, it often telegraphs a painful death. Witness Husker Du, the Replacements, Nirvana--hell, even R.E.M. After a successful four-album run on tiny Seattle imprint Barsuk, however, Death Cab for Cutie just might buck the trend on its Atlantic premiere. Yes, you can grumble about the production (a little too slick), the proportion of ballads (a little too many) and the overall feeling of restraint (a little too much), but ultimately the album delivers everything the group does best in emotional, experimental songs such as "What Sarah Said" and "I Will Follow You into the Dark," which both blend stark lyrical details with acoustic guitars and soft-focus electronics. In "Soul Meets Body," meanwhile, songwriter Ben Gibbard has come up with the kind of blissful, beatific pop song that's capable of disarming even the harshest skeptic. "A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere," he sings. --Aidin Vaziri

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - My Fave
This is my absolute favorite DCFC CD. I LOVE it and can listen to it over and over- every single song. The music is beautiful, haunting, and just flows so easily.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great
Nice music, mice songs, very romantic and rock at the same time. I love it

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Its got a lot of great songs
I was at first skeptical that I might be into this band, having heard that their music was featured on little kid shows like "The O.C." and other stuff like that. But I really enjoy this CD, its got some memorable music and is very accessible. Well written songs and instrumental arrangements make this album fun to listen to. I like the songs "Soul Meets Body" and "Different Names For The Same Thing," which are both stellar examples of what makes this band special. Some CD's you listen to maybe ...

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - DCFC rocks out with solid album "Plans"
Soon to be featured on the New Moon (a.k.a. Twilight 2) soundtrack, Death Cab for Cutie have made a name for themselves in the music industry.

DCFC has been around for quite some time now, making numerous albums of enjoyable alternative rock music. Plans, the 2005 release from the band, is probably the most fan-appreciated album in their catalog. It has that rare beauty to it where almost every track is as good, if not better, than the one before it. This is the quintessential Death ...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This connects to my soul
This is one of the best albums by one of the best bands of all time. The music will not only calm you down, but it will also make you happy or make you cry or make you fall in love. Any way you want to take it, this is a beautiful album with beautiful music.

I truly love every song on this album. There is no other album in the world like that.

What you must do is listen to the lyrics (which isn't hard). These will speak to your soul and touch you on some of the most basic human ...
