Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Different...
I have to say this album really grew on me and the only reason why I didn't like it as much before was because I was so used to listening to Hellfire Club, Mandrake, and Vain Glory Opera and this album just sounded so different to me. But after a while, I gave the album more listens, and realized it's still good metal with Edguy elements. The album has lost a lot of the dual lead guitars you can hear in previous albums, it's not as heavy as Hellfire Club, there's more keyboards present, guitar riffs ...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - iam surprised
well i waited 2 years before purchasing this album all because i had a gut feeling by the looking at the art cover i thought this was going to big disappointment compared to hellfire club. after a couple of spins iam surprised and can't beleive i was stubburn to wait 2 years before buying this album. well rocket ride is a fun and blood pumping metal album, one of those albums that gets you in a good mood and helps you to forget about any bad thing in your life thats going on.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Their best album yet
I own all Edguy's full length albums except Savage Poetry (just ordered it) and this is without a doubt the best one. This and Hellfire Club is a far cry from their earlier rock opera work, but it's still great. I honestly can't say any particular song is a filler piece. Edguys last two albums bring metal back to its glory days with an obvious inspiration by Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Poison, ACDC, and Stratovarius. If you liked any of the aforementioned bands, get this CD now.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - By all that is holy, I wish I'd bought this sooner!
Plenty of people have written more detailed reviews of this album, so I'll keep mine fairly short.

I bought this album for the song "Matrix" which was the only song on this album that I'd heard before. Honestly, I was completely blown away. It would be unfair to call any song on Rocket Ride "filler." Some songs are better than others, but all represent a sincere effort on the band's part to make a quality track.

Edguy's musicians are first class, and their lead singer ...

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great album, but something is missing...
To be honest with you, as a huge Edguy fan, I was a little disappointed. However, I don't think it is because the album is bad or anything, because it is really good. I think I just set my standards way too high because of Edguy's previous amazing releases and judge this the wrong way, I need to be a little more objective. Well, I'm not writing this review just to rant, I would like people to find this useful in helping them decide whether they want to buy this record or not.

First of all, ...
