When I saw this where I bought it I had no idea what to expect. I actually partially picked the CD up because the album cover looked pretty cool. When I listened to it, I was blown away by how good it was. The playing was tight, the lyrics were nothing I heard of before, and the whole 'feel' of it was epic and evil at the same time. It was like Satan as the king of a frozen wasteland with an army of hell spawn and this was the battle hymn. The songs were some of the fastest I've heard before I got ...

This CD was a recommandation as a really good Death Metal album. I had never heard of this band but I realise that this is a really great CD. Thier are some really good guitar solos and great vocals. I recommend this to all Death metal lovers.

It's hard to find a lot of good music and nit-pick it out of all the low-end trash and junk out there. Dissection went right over my head at first. I have been a long time metal fan, and have listented to many metal bands through out. This metal record is mix of many influences ranging from Iron Maidenish riffs, to Black Metal atmospherics, to Death Metal technicality. If your a fan of any of those styles you will love this album. Anyone a fan of metal music should purchase this album, as you will not be dissapointed. I hope you enjoy this album as much as I have.

do not be put off by my 3 stars. I really like this album and i think it is definately worth owning if you are into black/death metal
The only reason i didnt give it 3 or 4 stars is because i cant help but compare it to bands such as borknagar who have so much more musical scope. However this album does what it sets out to do..it has an atmosphere, it is heavy, it has subtle melody. I like the vocals,. There is a couple of short acoustic passages etc... adding to the album. It is quite limited ...
