I decided to buy this album after briefly owning "Nuclear Blast 20th Anniversary", which is a 4 cd compilation. The reason I got that compilation was because I was aware that Nuclear Blast were a 'name' label, and I wanted to explore their archives, so to speak. The first two cds on that compilation would be what you would call (I'm guessing), 'black' and 'death' metal. Really, those first two cds were just so samey...guttural singing-check. It's been a long time since a few DM albums in 1997 that I fell asleep before 3rd track is finished. They are actually disgracing the Death Metal that I love. Good Death Metal should make listeners feel excited and "thrilled" to make them play the CD again and again, while the works from this band just make listeners "TIRED"..in a negative sense.

I am a HUGE Belphegor fan. The first album I ever picked up was "Blutsabbat". I thought, "hey, great black metal band". I picked up "The Last Supper" second, and thought, "Ah, so they used to be more death metal-oriented". Then, I got the rest and thought, again, "so they are a death/black HYBRID...right..."
