Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Beautiful Metal
There are many female fronted bands these days, this one has to be one of the best. Strong, fast ethereal sound and a lady with a voice custom made for this release. The sound is highly enginerred, but that is the point. Is a complete package, almost a concept album, a dream like atmosphere in pure metal form. Highly recommended.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Flawed but still enjoyable
The vocals are angelic and Echoes of Eternity pull off some pretty complex stuff at times, but this album tends to plod along clumsily, especially on the filler tracks. There are several great songs on here, such as Expressions of Flesh and Towers of Silence, but many of the songs fall victim to a certain flatness. The vocalist shies away from high notes throughout the album, and a few of the songs tend to sound similar.

I might sound like I hated The Forgotten Goddess and am condemning ...

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - You've heard this before
Los Angeles band Echoes of Eternity seems to be America's answer to European gothic metal bands like Leaves Eyes, Krypteria and Within Temptation. Unlike say Evanescence, Echoes of Eternity doesn't bother with male vocals or (thankfully) nu-metal elements, instead mirroring what their European counterparts are doing fairly closely.

The upside of that approach is that the Euro sound is a proven winner. The downside is that Echoes of Eternity's sound is completely predictable, and doesn't ...

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not very good at all..
First and foremost, I have NO idea how anyone could compare this.. with Leaves Eyes. They are absolutely NOTHING alike at all.
Second, although the vocalist is goo, the music is not nearly good enough to compare with bands like Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, Leaves Eyes etc..
Third, the music would have been okay, but the singer and the band aren't together AT ALL.. they're way out of sync. Its like she's singing a whole different track while the band is playing.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not Bad
A decent offering, I enjoy the album but it just doesn't stand out too much. A solid 3 stars.
