As a pretty big fan of the Goethenberg sound, finding these guys just recently was pretty exciting.
For those who haven't heard them, this album especially has a pretty clear recipe:
Take Dark Tranquility, add the better riffs and choruses from In Flames and replace the keyboards with traditional folk instruments. Finally, for good measure add a bit of the 'talking' vocals from Killswitch Engage. The influences are very strong, you can clearly hear the other bands in these songs, ...

This is by far one of the best Heavy Metal Folk bands there are. After listening to them for almost 2 months now, i still havn't become bored with their music. They dont over do the music and they dont forget the culture behind it all. The really is no competition in the Folk Metal genre for this band.

This is their 3rd cd and is a solid follow up to spirit. I think that this is where they really find their sound though spirit is still my favorite. Theres just something about it that I dont like as much as the other albums... it seems less organic and more polished and produced. I liked the raw natural sound of their first two albums better..I think it fit the pagan theme very well. but anyway its still good.

This album is quite something. I received it a few weeks ago after briefly listening to samples and am just overwhelmed at how good it is. The melodies are interesting, the themes engaging and the energy of the music simply stunning. What an amazing effort, a must have for anyone looking for metal that is a bit different!

It's intense, melodic, and brutal, and the production really brings out all the aspects of the songs. Vocals are great, both the male growler and the female singer. It's as if Killswitch Engage went to Inis Mona and all became Druids (and one of the songs is about an old Druid reminiscing on his days learning the secrets of nature there). Lyrics are really meaningful and many of ...
