What an enjoyable and different Doom album. Out of nowhere comes Kypck (Kursk in English), fronted by a group of well-known musicians. The product: something marketed as Doomsday metal.
I really appreciated that the band sounds different, with their approach being Russian vocals and lumbering guitars pummeling in the background rather than taking the lead - the vocals do that. It's a thematic and somewhat progressive album that lurches from track to track, forcing the listener to brood ...
