Editorial Review:
Album Description: 2008 release, the seventh album from the tyrants of the Brazilian Death Metal scene. Two years on from their excellent Assassination album, Southern Storm ups the brutality and aggression a few notches, creating an album that is riff-heavy, powerful and not for the faint of heart. 13 tracks including 'Slaying Steel', 'Twisting Sights and more. Century Media.

These guys from Brazil don't mess around. This cd is unrelenting, brutal and pummeling from start to finish. This was the first cd I got by Krisiun and was totally blown away. This band is awesome in every way. I have'nt heard anything else by them but if it is as good as this one. I been missing out on some serious death metal. I would rank them at the top in my death metal collection. If you like brutal, extreme and furocious death metal at it's best then check this cd by Krisiun.

For the first time, I can honestly say that Krisiun has released 2 consecutive albums where not only is the music damn UNBELIEVABLY HEAVY, but it's also more varied (in other words not repetitive & boring) & the production was perfect! After hearing this CD, I think Krisiun might have made a better album than their last slice of death 'Assassination'...& that is saying a lot because that was a tough one for them to top! Brutal death at it's finest here folks!

Krisiun has done a commendable job on this album. I like their cover of Sepultura's "Refuse/Resist. this album is all killer no filler. as a matter of fact, this band makes all the other death metal bands look angelic, including Deicide. I recommend this album to those that are into death metal or admire all forms of metal.
